Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord; And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it Amos 8:11-12(KJV).

Nothing can be as dreadful as being unable to communicate and have fellowship with one’s creator. When people are out of touch with God and find it difficult to hear from Him (God),unprecedented situation arises. This kind of situation (spiritual famine ),is worse than physical famine. The moment one is separated from his creator, he is doomed.

When people have lost contact with God, they go above seeking for nonessential. The people who lived in Prophet Amos day rejected the word of God through His prophets but the day came that the same people who rejected the prophets were looking for them to hear the word of God. It is better that you seek the Lord while He is near and when you may find Him rather than seeking at the wrong time.

Always examine yourself to be sure you have the right faith and then endeavor not grieve the Holy Spirit through habitual disobedience.

Ask the Lord to cleanse you of every sin and to heal you from spiritual famine.
